Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by the multiracial, mixed-ethnic family. The father of Jacqueline's Elroy Fernandez is of Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is a Malaysian. She is the younger of two brothers and a brother who is older. She was born and raised in Bahrain. The family of her parents been to the country in the 1980s as a result of the turmoil in Sri Lanka. In Australia she pursued a degree in Media and Communications at University of Sydney after completing her studies in Bahrain.
